ZeroTier Port Error - Windows 7

ZeroTier Port Error - Windows 7

How To Fix The ZeroTier PORT-ERROR

It’s usually because of the ZeroTier network interface hasn’t installed correctly. This means we will need to do this manually.

First completely close down ZeroTier One, by right-clicking on its icon in the tasktray and selecting ‘exit’.

Then right click on ‘My Computer’ and select ‘Properties’

Next, you want to select Device Manager.

Head down to ‘Network Adapters’, and you should have one labelled ‘Unknown Device’. If you haven’t got anything appearing, restart your computer and follow the previous steps again.

Select the ‘Unknown Device’ and right click to select ‘Update Driver’.

On the next screen select ‘Browse my computer for driver software’‘.

The next part involves finding a folder that is hidden by default in Windows. To make it visible, head to the control panel – folder options – the ‘View’ tab, and select ‘Show hidden files, folders and drives’, located under ‘Hidden files and folders’.

Once done, hit the browse button and go to the location – ‘C:\ProgamData\ZeroTier\One\tap-windows\x64’,(or x86) and hit next.

The driver will start to install. when it has completed the installation with success, restart your machine one more time and ZeroTier One should be working just fine.

If you can’t restart the station since it is the ArrowServer you can delete the icontol VPN network and readd it. It should work after that.
