Z-Out End of Day

PRE Z-OUT PROCEDURES


Before starting the Z-Out process check the items listed below. All of these items MUST be addressed or you will not be able to perform the Z-Out.


  • Open Checks - Click “Recall Check” and select “All” and then “Open”. Any unpaid checks will be listed here. Open the check and pay the balance to close out the check. All checks MUST be closed or the system will not allow you to Z-Out.
  • Time Clock – In Back Office click “Time Clock Functions” under the Employee Functions category. All employees MUST be clocked out or the system will not allow you to Z-Out.
  • Drawer Summary – In Back Office click “Drawer Summary” under the Daily Functions category. Click “Settle Register”, confirm the over/short amount, click “Post Amount” and then click “Yes”. All registers MUST be settled or the system will not allow you to Z-Out.
  • Driver Summary – In Back Office click “Driver Summary” under the Daily Functions category. Select the driver to pull up their summary. If tips have not been entered click “Payment Information” and enter them. Next click “Settle Driver”, confirm the driver balance and click Yes. All drivers MUST be settled or the system will not allow you to Z-Out.
  • Server Summary – In Back Office click “Server Summary” under the Daily Functions category. Select the server to pull up their summary. If tips have not been entered click “Payment Information” and enter them. Next click “Settle Server”, confirm the server balance and click Yes. All servers MUST be settled or the system will not allow you to Z-Out.


PERFORMING Z-OUT


The Z-Out can be done on any station. To perform the Z-Out go into the Back Office, on the bottom left click “Z-Report End of Day” to enter the Z-Out screen. 

  1. Click Z-Out Today's Sales and click Yes.
  2. Confirm the Over/Short amount and click “Post Amount” to finalize sales for the day.
  3. If a print out of the z report is needed click “Print Now” otherwise click “Skip Print”.
  4. Click Yes to begin the Z-Out process. This will lock all stations, this process cannot be interrupted.


DATABASE BACKUP 


After the Z-Out completes Arrow takes a backup of your database. Do not interrupt this process, daily backups ensure your data can be restored in case a station goes down. When the progress bar has been filled and there are no more remaining tasks under “Remaining Actions” the backup process has completed.
